    Looking Toward the

    Future!

This curriculum focuses on At-Risk Women and provides women with alternatives to criminal activity by helping them identify and mobilize personal and community resources.

Program content is organized around four main themes:

    1. Encouraging personal responsibility & enhancing motivation for change
    2. Expanding connections and building healthy relationships
    3. Skill enhancement, development, and maintenance
    4. Relaxation and stress management skills

    Overcoming Co-Dependency

Codependency describes one person’s behaviors and attitudes rather than the relationship as a whole. Someone who is codependent often builds their identity around helping others. They may “depend” on others to validate their self-worth. A codependent person may deny their own desires or emotions to get this approval.

    Our support group focuses around:

    1. Addiction and Co-Dependency
    2. Abuse and Co-Dependency
    3. Parenting and Co-Dependency
    4. Caregiver and Co-Dependency

Real Parenting Program provides practical guidance on issues and ways we can develop realistic action plans with our children.  One of the biggest hurdles for those of us who are recovering from alcoholism or an addiction is restoring our relationship with our children.  We must rebuild shattered trust, but even more basic, we may need to learn, or re-learn, how to treat our children with love and respect.  There are 3 Focuses: Building Trust, Handling Anger, & Setting Rules and Limits.
